Great local park for Prospect Park and Haledon residents to walk and bring the young ones to play in the play yard. It has a small basketball court, soccer field, and other areas to explore. Even has public bathroom.
Lots of potential. Good air since its high on a mountain but needs some TLC. Grounds also can benefit of more maintenance and some landscape. Currently they are building a new Pavillion which is good.
One of my favorite easy spots to watch the sunset because the sky feels so open when you look over the quarry. The other side of the park also offers great views of the city and all your favorite Hawthorne landmarks. I went up with my girlfriend on 9/11 and could see the pillars of light where the twin towers were. It was great to be able to see such a powerful image in remembrance and honor of those we lost that day.
Great Big Park. Probably the best in the area. Great for Family and Kids
